Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

The short version: GridCall does not ask you to create an account and does not collect personal data — no name, no email, no phone number, no location. There are no advertising or tracking technologies, and we never sell data. This policy explains the limited, anonymous technical data involved in running the app, and the separate case where you choose to contact us through our website.

1Who we are

The GridCall app and the websites at gridcall.ch and gridcall.app (together, the “Service”) are operated by Asymptoticsolutions LLC (“GridCall”, “we”, “us”). For any privacy question you can reach us at support@gridcall.app. Our postal address is in Section 10.

2No account, no personal data

GridCall is a viewer for competitive-karting race schedules. You do not sign in and you do not create a profile. Specifically, the app does not:

  • require or offer an account, and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number;
  • access your location — it requests no GPS or location permission;
  • access your contacts, photos, microphone or camera;
  • use advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs or third-party trackers, or build any advertising profile;
  • collect health, biometric or other special-category data.

3The limited data the app processes

Loading schedules

When the app shows a race schedule, it requests it from our servers. As with any internet request, our servers automatically receive standard technical information, including your device’s IP address. We use it only to deliver the content and to keep the Service secure and working. We do not use it to identify you and we do not combine it into a profile.

Notifications (optional)

If you turn on notifications, the app registers an anonymous device notification token with our server through Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google (Android), along with your app version, language, and the identifier of the event(s) you choose to follow. We use this only to send you schedule alerts — such as timetable changes and race-control bulletins — for the events you follow. The token is issued by Apple or Google, is not linked to your identity, and cannot be used by us to contact you outside the app. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and stop following an event inside the app.

On-device reminders

Some reminders are scheduled locally on your device and never leave it.

4If you contact us or use our website

The app itself asks for nothing about you. Separately, if you choose to email us, or to submit the early-access form on gridcall.ch, we receive the information you send — such as your email address and any name or message you include (the form also records the submission time and IP address for anti-abuse). We use it only to reply to you and, for the early-access list, to contact you about early access. Our website also loads web fonts from Google Fonts and one icon stylesheet from the jsDelivr CDN; when your browser requests these, it shares your IP address with those providers, as is standard for any website. The website uses only essential storage (for example, to remember your language) and no advertising cookies.

5Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. The limited data above is handled only by service providers who work on our behalf under contract:

  • our hosting provider, Contabo GmbH, which stores data on servers in the European Union;
  • Apple and Google (Firebase), to deliver push notifications;
  • our email provider, to deliver email you exchange with us;
  • Open-Meteo, for weather data (no personal data is sent).

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of GridCall, our users or the public.

6Where data is stored, and transfers

Data is stored on servers located in the European Union. GridCall is operated by Asymptoticsolutions LLC, a company based in the United States, and members of our team in the United States and Switzerland may access data to run and support the Service. Where this involves transferring data outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the EU/EEA GDPR and the Swiss FADP (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).

7How long we keep it

A notification token is kept while you follow an event; it is removed when you stop following the event, turn off notifications, or uninstall the app. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security. Anything you send us by email or through the early-access form is kept until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed.

8Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/EEA GDPR, the Swiss FADP, and California law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the app collects no account or personal identifiers, in most cases we simply hold nothing that identifies you; where you have contacted us or joined the early-access list, you can exercise these rights by emailing support@gridcall.app. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, and you will not be treated differently for exercising your rights. If you are in the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9Children

GridCall is a public race-schedule viewer suitable for a general audience. It has no account and collects no personal data from anyone, including minors.

10Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, for example on this page. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
